PS I like a smidgen of mysticism even if I don’t fully understand it. For example, I’m open to both Buddhist approaches and Native American approaches. And Jesus in word and deed has a mystical streak, if looked at a certain way.

im pretty sure “Paul” is…not meaning to be read so literally there, fwiw. 500 is code, surely.

I’ve also wondered that 12 Tribes of Israel and 12 Disciples of Jesus is too neat and clean.

One of the requirements to be an apostle was that the person must have been an eyewitness to the resurrected Jesus.

Okay, so it’s entirely possible that Matthias saw the risen Jesus when he (Matthias) was just a regular person and before he was bestowed with the rank of Apostle.

I’ll again say that the multiple books of the Bible deserve the same respect as any other ancient texts, but not more so.

I’m aware that highly religious persons look at it way different.

I’d also be interested in how medium-religious persons look at it.

12 also has a spiritual meaning that is defined, yes. It is code too, surely. Never met a Jew who could document their tribe even. Plus the tribe names correspond to the foundations, which are a certain kind of stone, that end up being interpretable as stuff like “chastity, honesty, charity” etc

Adamu meant…more or less what Adam means to us, in ancient Akkadian (Babylonian), and half of the Decalogue (at least) descends from Hammurabi, or even earlier. Eve and the snake under a tree of knowledge is clearly kundalini (Hindu? dont feel like looking it up lol)

Paul referred to practically every current wisdom school in his writings; Stoic, Nazarite and Nazarene, Epicurean, Gnostic, on and on

No, so says the Bible. I suggest you read yours a little closer. In John 14:3, Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for us then He would "come again" (ἔρχομαι πάλιν) to receive us. At Jesus' ascension, the angles told the disciples Jesus would "come in like manner" (ἔρχομαι ὅς τρόπος). So, while Jesus does not say He would return, He does say He will come again, which imho, means the same thing. That's why I've made my preparations for His return. Are you ready?
