Reflection: Imagine a world in which every person was treated with the same love and respect we have for our dear friends. How would that change the way you treat the people you meet or interact with throughout the day?

Most religions have hit upon the golden rule. And often a religion has more than one version, as does Christianity.

The Sikhs are the answer to the question—

What is the world’s 3rd largest monotheistic religion?

No, it’s not the Jews.

And no, it’s not the Baháʼi.

It’s the Sikhs.

And just guessing, I’m going to say it’s a good healthy thing to be involved in a Sikh community if you grew up that way, and good-naturedly talk with fellow community members after services.

But it’s not healthy to take it too seriously, as teenagers are apt to do.

The parents need to model a light touch.

I think it just wasn’t a high priority for the Romans. Jesus was probably one of a number of mystics in the previous 10 years.

It wasn’t the Romans who wanted Jesus to go away. It was the Jewish religious leaders. They demanded Peter not preach about Jesus, so why didn’t they drag out Jesus’ dead body? That would have stopped the spread of the Gospel in its tracks. Let me tell you why they didn’t produce the body of Jesus…He arose and was no longer in the tomb.

If you’ve never experienced the salvation of Christ, you cannot understand the desire to share Him with others. I know what He’s done for me and I want to glorify Him and tell others about Him. That’s the main point for my life.

Has God ever spoken to you?

Absolutely. Not in an audible voice, but through His word and through His Spirit. It is absolutely amazing to have that relationship with the God of all creation. I highly recommend it.
