Not at all.

Well, 11 disciples saw the resurrected Jesus, as well as the women who went to finish anointing His body. The Apostle Paul said that more than 500 people saw the resurrected Jesus at one time. What evidence do you have that this was either grief hallucination or urban legend? Can you produce some other contemporaneous writing that refutes these claims? Surely, if these things did not happen, someone would have come forth and denied the claims. Do you have anything to support your belief?

The religious leaders who had Jesus crucified wanted the whole "Jesus thing" over and done with. Instead the disciples began to preach that Jesus had resurrected. The easiest way to squelch this "urban legend" would be to produce the dead body of Jesus. Why didn't they? I know there are some who claim the disciples stole the body of Jesus. In fact, the Pharisees that that very same idea, so they had a Roman guard placed at the tomb. A rag-tag group of Jews were not able of overpowering a Roman guard to steal the body. And even if they did, the Romans would have retaliated with brutal force. History records nothing like this. Therefore, imo, the only reasonable explanation is Jesus Christ did indeed arise.

we are to confess the wrong and seek forgiveness. This is much more humbling than simply mumbling "Sorry."

at age 61, I’ve learned give a whole-hearted apology, brief and sincere is often best. And then it’s up to the other person how much to accept it. And if they need space, go ahead and give them space.

And conversely, whatever apology someone is able to give me, accept it whole-hearted. There’ll be plenty of time to mull over later on whether it’s good enough.

At age 58, I’ve found it much harder to ask someone for their forgiveness. When a person offends another and says, “I’m sorry”, they may just be sorry that they got caught. “Please forgive me”, is more humbling.

Basically, why wouldn’t Paul give a place?

He never says he’s an eyewitness. He must have heard it from somewhere.

Maybe he didn’t feel his sources were all that good, but felt there must be some better sources out there somewhere ? ?

I understand that many mainstream Christians view the Gospel names of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John as only traditional. And that no one knows who wrote the Gospels.

PS You are not required to hold this view. I know that Christians hold a variety of views.

I think it just wasn’t a high priority for the Romans. Jesus was probably one of a number of mystics in the previous 10 years.

I can’t prove something didn’t happen. And nor can you.

I can only say that urban universe is a big universe, and with today’s political climate more than ever!

I can say, “Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence.”

And you can say the same thing!

But I suspect we’re coming at it from opposite sides.

Again, my goal here is to help provide a soft landing for people living an organized religion.

Hahaha…if he had given a location, you would ask for a specific date. Then you would ask for a specific time. Then you would ask for the names…instead of asking for more details, please offer some evidence of grief hallucinations. Offer some other testimony that Jesus did not arise.
