In conclusion, I don't claim that polygamy was ideal nor even that the Bible is as clear on it as it is for a lot of other biblical rules. But I do think that there is sufficient evidence and examples (most of the biblical patriarchs were polygamists) to show that it was a moral practice.
I have no problem agreeing to disagree. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion when there is no direct reference to a topic. I have drawn an opinion from context clues, and you have drawn a different opinion. So be it. Do you believe God sees polygamy as immoral today?

Opinion is too weak of a word because we both are going by evidence. So I see our views as competing theories. Of course, yours is the more mainstream Christian one. I'd like another person's perspective to weigh in or we could go deeper into a specific piece of evidence and reasoning if you or anyone else is up to it!

I believe it is moral today. The only thing that has changed is the cultural perception and the laws stemming from that. It is still practiced in some Middle Eastern countries, and interestingly, some Mormon families in the Midwest US (Utah, Colorado, and Arizona) still practice it.
