The biblical writers mention the "spirit" of jealousy.

Numbers 5:14
And if the spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife who has defiled herself, or if the spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife, though she has not defiled herself,...

Did the biblical writers think that feelings were a product of spirits?

And the reason I didn't put this in the theology section is because this next question goes beyond theology:

If so, does this show that the biblical writers were superstitious? How can we then trust that they did not falsely attribute the supernatural or spirits to other natural phenomena?
