Here are some other reasons I asked about the topic... It seems that some of the end time prophecy has a lot to do with Israel. I would imagine if Israel ends, then that would be a big problem for biblical prophecy. But then America plays such a big role in protecting Israel. That's another reason I figured America would have been part of biblical prophecy despite all of its internal problems. Some would argue if America wasn't around, then Israel would have never been established or would have ended by now.

It isn’t America protecting Israel. It’s God. And Israel will never be destroyed because they do have God’s hand on them. The book of Revelation does focus on Israel from chapter 4 until the end.

@Scooter

I don't discount that. God could be using the US to protect Israel. The OT describes God doing the opposite by using Babylon and Assyria to punish Israel.

You are absolutely correct. I believe that fact is more evidence of God. While He allowed Israel to be overrun b y the Babylonians and Assyrians, the Jewish people maintained their Jewish identity. No other ancient people have maintained their identity. There are no Ammonites, Moabites, Hittites nor any other 'ites. God promised that the nation of Israel would endure until the end of time. The book of Revelation's primary focus is with God dealing, one last time, with the nation of Israel.
