He’s a Democratic Senator from the red state of Montana. Please notice that he’s missing fingers in his left hand. To me, this adds a certain gravitas to him. And I kind of like not knowing where this injury not from. Meaning, if you find out, don’t tell me in a direct answer to this post.

In general, I’d prefer a centrist or conservative Democrat.

I’m guessing that pretty much every Senator has looked at themselves in the mirror at some point and imagined themselves as president.

Yeah, it's not as if this is the most terrible year. The year that was very bad was 2020 since we were just coming off of a global pandemic, vaccines, and the shutdowns. Now we've sort of recovered although inflation is still somewhat bad in some cases.
