This statement is not true. Jesus loved the outcasts and He invited them to come to Him. Jesus in no way stood in solidarity with sinners. His invitation to outcasts was to follow Him.
True.

He also did a little more than that. He also spent time eating and drinking with them as well.

Luke 5:29-30...
29 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

Perhaps you should try to go with your friends at least once? Doesn't hurt to have a beer (as opposed to getting drunk). I've read the bible from cover to cover several times, and for some reason the significance of this never stood out to me until now. I think there's a balance you have to find where you can go into any setting while not going too far or compromising your values. Each person might be different in terms of what they can handle, as well.

Luke gets involved in the attack on the Death Star. Of course he does, it wouldn’t be a story if he didn’t! Luke takes two passes at the critical spot and misses both times. As he’s approaching the third time, he hears the voice of Obi-Wan, ‘Luke, trust the Force. Trust the Force.’ And Luke takes a big chance and turns off his targeting computer.
And this relates to what portion of scripture?

I believe the correct phrase was “Use the force Luke.”
For some reason, Force in Star Wars sort of reminds me of the way Faith was used in the NT.

Example, Matthew 21:21-22:
21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Well, it is bad for me. I am a former alcoholic so I avoid all alcohol. Also, as a preacher, I try to abstain from all appearance of evil. As a married man, I spend time with my wife and family. I don’t go out with friends unless my wife goes with me. The best way to avoid partaking of the forbidden fruit is to stay away from the forbidden tree.

So it seems the correct question would be “Do many nonbelievers like the religious aspects of Star Wars?”
Would they agree with it, probably not all of it. Would they like at as entertainment that utilizes some religious themes, probably yes.

In fact, I really like the idea of the Force. It seems powerful, it relies on individual ability and it can be strengthened. Requires trust and not doubt. It's almost as if it requires a package of good qualities (character included) to really master it.

You do know the “force” is make believe, right? I mean, I like Batman, but I know he isn’t real. Faith is real.

LoL... just laughing that I gave impression that I believed it in real life.

Now faith is real, and Jesus is real. Some people may not believe Jesus is real, but everyone knows Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are fictional.
Yes, regarding Darth Vader. Still on the fence regarding Jesus and his powers. Both are truly interesting though.

You get more respect if you’re a non-drinker as opposed to a light drinker.

Weirdly, acquaintances and even “friends” will try to push you to drink more. They don’t seem to understand light-drinking as worthy choice, in response to a variety of life situations.

In addition, I think Jedis try to “make friends” with their dark side ? ?? And accept all aspects of themselves.

I can see that happening. Haven't gone out to drink in a while, but whenever I did, I had no problem restraining myself from drinking too much. Then again, I had good friends that also respected that and my girlfriend is the same way.

So I think it kinda goes both ways. The Christian in a drinking environment would need to able to show some restraint, and also the friends have to be willing to accept that the Christian is a light or non-drinker, and don't push it on him or her.
