I'm sad to announce that I will begin closing the forum. The main reason is that there has not been enough business, and I'll explain more below.

I've come to realize that discussions are the main business for forums. Since opening, I've had a low number of daily active users, and I believe that made for a not so active forum (not that many posts per day, not many different users, etc). Despite the low amount of posts per day and active users, I would say that the quality of our forum discussions have been mostly good and for this I have @Multicolored Lemur, @Scooter , @William, TracyRN, and a few others who participated earlier on to thank for that. Thank you all for your contributions and maybe I'll see you all around on other websites!

Timeline for closing the forum:
- Starting today, registration will be disabled. No new members will be able to join the forum.
- On Nov. 8, creating new posts will be disabled. Existing members will only be able to edit their posts.
- On December 31, 2025, I will close the forum completely and it goes away.

But, fret not as this is not the end times! There is just too much need for an agnostic given our polarizing environment. So here are my future plans:

- I will be transitioning to a blog site which I've already started working on. I think I'll be able to be a more impactful agnostic since the content or discussions will only be created by an agnostic (me!) and people will be able to comment and reply.
- I'm also using an Ai program to create the site that way I don't have to rely so much on paying developers and having to learn a lot of stuff.

Well I hate to hear this. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Thank you AB for allowing me to be a small part of this forum. Fair winds and following seas.

And thank you for your contributions, AgnosticBoy. :) And your good work in setting up, moderating, repairing, and things I probably don’t even know about!

And, best wishes for your future projects. :D

@AgnosticBoy , mystery to me why your excellent site hasn’t gained more members. Large element of trending and luck!

Now, you could play dirty and play off the “drug of outrage,” which is more popular than even porn! I mean, go figure.

Could try to become “go to” source for relatively narrow topic. For example, if you’re into hockey, when the “Seattle Kraken” were born in 2021, golden opportunity!

and people either like your take and writing style, or they don’t. Much more fair. And by the way, I think your writing style is just fine.

People do like newness. So, maybe popular arguments right now in evangelical circles, mainstream circles, etc. And how these heavily reflect classic philosophy, although maybe new arguments have a twist.

Like the “fine tuning” of the Universe line of reasoning for a Creator.

Wish I knew why or at least the biggest factor. I do know time went by fast and I still can't believe I had this site up for 5 years - started in October 2020. One thing that did seem to work is when I would go on other sites and interact. I think that sort of gave me the opportunity to showcase my thinking and views and that led some to come over to my site. But then they didn't stick around consistently like you, Scooter, William., At least two of those guys told me there wasn't enough activity here for them to stick around.

Honestly another problem popped up and it was that my free time to be online had been reduced. Wouldn't have wanted that to happen while I have over 100 members and hundreds of different topics being started up at any time. So I think moving to a blog will fit better because it is a slower pace and less to manage.

And it will hopefully be cheaper!

Yes, less to manage and cheaper! And this counts, too.

and I think it’s inspired that your blog ends with …. caffeine.xyz
