Houston ABC News — FAMILY OF 3-YEAR-OLD HURT IN UBER CRASH TRYING 'TO HAVE FAITH' DESPITE DRIVERS NOT CHARGED IN CASE
“Evelyn Medina and her parents had gone to a flea market on Airline, in Houston's northside, to do some shopping. At about 7:45 p.m., the family called an Uber for a ride home.
“A light-colored van picked up the family, turned from Airline to Gulf Bank, and drove toward the North Freeway. That's when a white F-350 truck rear-ended the Uber, but it didn't stop.”
========
Yeah, the driver should have tried to grab a description and 1st part of license plate and left it at that.
The mania to punish
The mania to squelch someone down hard.
And interesting, the article points out that the family is disappointed and confused that neither driver has yet been charged. Clearly, the Uber driver can be charged with something like reckless endangerment and probably will be. But this can become a mania to punish, too.
Instead of finding and supporting good existing charities. As well as writing thoughtful material online to improve the overall U.S. healthcare system. This kind of stuff is likely to give us a better return on our efforts.
