Do the Israeli people today respect Jesus? Would Christians be upset if they didn't?

I recently saw a video showing random people being asked about their thoughts on Jesus Christ. Let's just say that their opinions were less than respectful of him. I wonder if Christians would support Jews if a lot of the Israeli population did not respect him.

I, at one point, asked my parents about Jesus because he's not mentioned in the KJ version of the bible and no one at temple ever spoke his name but my religious friends and the wafer/wine and baptism, and giving Jesus a place BEFORE god, but god said Hold no idols before me made me curious. So they told me there were plenty of Jesus's in Mexico and if he existed at all where was he between birth and death? He wasn't mentioned at all. They said he was probably some guy who was a good carpenter and a nice guy. Period.
