During the Kansas City Chiefs super bowl parade there was a shooting. 1 dead and over 20 injured. Turns out that the shooter or shooters were juveniles. Just a day or so before, a woman walks into a Church and opens fire. The woman in that shooting was said to suffer from schizophrenia.

Based off of these incidents, some might be quick to say that we should ban all guns, but however I don't think that guns are the problem. For instance, if a good guy and mentally healthy person has a gun, then that population tends to have a good track record of following the gun laws/safety. If gun themselves were a problem, then everyone with a gun would have a problem following the law. So I would say the problem is the easy access to guns, whether it be their availability on the streets or the lack of good screening and standards for buying/owning one.

What do you guys think about that view? Do we have an access problem? Can it be fixed, and if so, how?
