I've had a forum guideline in place to prevent members from dismissing a viewpoint on the grounds that it's opinion or not proven. The main reason for that guideline is because opinions can sometimes point to truth or gives clues to them, and I don't want skeptics to hinder open-mindedness.
Given recent interactions, I will also add a rule for not dismissing views simply based on who or where the view comes from. To do so is already a logical fallacy (Genetic fallacy). This will only be enforced after a member is made aware that they are dismissing views based on a logical fallacy.
