Your reaction to January 6, 2021 protests

On another forum, a member mentioned that "Trump and his terrorist have lost" in response to events that occurred on January 6 at the US Capitol. On this day, the Congress were supposed to certify the 2020 presidential election results. As most have probably heard, a group of pro-Trump protestors stormed the US Capitol.

So should we conclude that "Trump and his terrorists have lost"?

Trump has lost. But political terrorists on both sides are still here. The forces inciting extremism on both sides, starting with identity politics (using race, gender, and class), corrupt political parties wanting power, among other things are still here. But I at least have confidence that Biden will do a better job (better than Trump) at taming some extremism.
