Stephen A. Smith recently announced some interests in running for president in 2028. For those who don't know, he works at ESPN as a sports commentator. He also does a podcast on the side where he covers politics. What is most impressive about him, or what gets him a lot of attention in the political world (in my view) is that he comes off as an independent that avoids extremes. He recently said just as much in this CNN interview (watch from 2:40 to 3:30 minute marks)
"Fiscally conservative, and liberal across the board on social issues"
Some criticisms about him so far is that he has no experience in government and that would make him unfit and too unexperienced to be a US President.
For Discussion:
1. What's your view of Stephen A. Smith for President?
2. Are the criticisms true? Can someone without government experience be a President?
