Featured Good Part — Jesus still loves his disciples even though he predicts Peter will deny him three times.

@Scooter , as a former Marine, do you really want to go “Ha-Ha” at brave men and women risking their lives in combat? ————— * yes, I’m aware that you disagree with my idea that ethics is built from a number of little theories

This 2016 movie is about a pacifist who becomes a medic and does some real good. It might move your soul and it might not, and either way is perfectly okay. In that regard, I guess it’s a lot like sitting in church. :)

Yes, I agree. But putting an emphasis on “Agape love,” I think Christians give a good thing to the world. It’s similar to “Buddhist compassion.” And Muslims also set a positive example with their goal of giving two-and-a-half percent to others. This is much more obtainable than 10%, and...

Featured Good Part — Jesus still loves his disciples even though he predicts Peter will deny him three times.

As a non-believer, I more think in terms of preventing various hells here on Earth. I’m sorry, but I do. For example — 1) why aren’t churches up to best practice on preventing sex abuse? No excuse, they really ought to be. With a yearly review and maybe a quick, non-tedious couple of...

    Do aliens exist?

So there might be another me elsewhere in the Universe ? ?? Well, I’m not sure I’m the same “me” I was 20 years ago. Maybe not even 5 years ago. Okay, I took the following from philosopher Derek Parfit — In the long human future, there’s going to be somebody pretty close to me in...
