The Bible tells the story of king Solomon asking God for wisdom. God grants him that wisdom and suddenly Solomon becomes a treasure trove of knowledge, so much so that people from all over the world was said to come and listen to him speak.

1 King 3:5-6; 9-12:
At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” 6 Solomon answered, (skip ped to vs. 9)...
9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

Luke 11:31:
The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

For Discussion:
1. So what exactly did God give to Solomon?
2. Did this turn him into some high IQ person?
3. Is there a difference between wisdom and intelligence? Was wisdom used back in those days to refer to someone who was smart?🤔
4. For those that say that spiritual gifts don't exist today, please explain James 1:5 where God gives wisdom to those that ask.
