The Soviet Union used to be in conflict with the Taliban. The US supplied the Taliban weapons so they could boot out the Soviets. In the end, it did work.

The US went to war with the Taliban. Russia provided support to the Taliban to help them gain back territory. In the end, it worked.

The US is supplying weapons to Ukraine to help repel Russia. It seems to be working.

Now there are reports that Russia has been supplying weapons to the Houthis, or were planning on it according to CNN.

Perhaps China is using North Korea to provoke the US, as well.

My point is that some of the superpowers in the world are already engaged in an indirect war with each other. It's a war of information (via misinformation), a war of trying to sabotage the other, and a war of using others to do the work for them.

Do you think there's a way to resolve this matter diplomatically or will all of this eventually lead to a direct war between the big powers?
