Chris’s father was a previous New Hampshire governor. And voters tend to respect this because it means someone gets their political ambition honestly and aren’t just in it for themselves. I’ve not sure this is across-the-board true, few things in life are! But it might give Chris more traction in the campaigning leading up to the first primaries.

If he decides to run, that is.

I second that.

I'm not surprised he comes off as a moderate. New Hampshire is pretty big on unaffiliated voters. One source says that 41% of the NH electorate are Independents or unaffiliated. They are the largest group of voters in New Hampshire.
