“ . . One side, focusing on Trump’s gains with Black and especially Hispanic voters, argues it makes little sense to believe his victory was primarily a product of racism. The other, noting that both groups still went for Vice President Kamala Harris in absolute terms, argues the election results still must be viewed as primarily revolving around the country’s racial divide. . “

Have you watched The Young Turks (TYT)?

They are definitely to the left, but some of my friends have said they are more to center-left.

It’s been a while. And the man seemed to talk a lot more than the lady.

And they seemed to pick favorite topics, more like a magazine.
I also noticed he did more of the talking there. I think it's mostly his show, but it would be nice to see his cohost contribute more or even give a different perspective.

“Progressive Democrats wrestling with how to navigate a second Donald Trump presidency are settling on a new approach: Take his populist, working-class proposals at his word — or at least pretend to.

“ . . Those include making in vitro fertilization treatments free, ending taxes on tips and capping credit card interest rates. He has also promised for years to protect the popular programs of Social Security and Medicare. At times, he has promoted directing Medicare to negotiate drug prices. . ”

With credit cards, don’t let the company raise the interest and fees if the person runs into trouble. To some extent, the company has made a “bet.” Hold them to it.

I’m not crazy about excluding tips from taxed income. Some tipped employees make $70,000 or $80,000 or more a year. And they should pay income tax just like everyone else. But I’m not planning on spending a lot of energy fighting “no taxes on tips” either.

We need more center-left voices. Then again, we also need more left-leaning voices doing radio, podcasts, etc. I think that's lacking now because the Left has most of the mainstream television news stations.
