Here's my list subject to change...
1. Deadpool and Wolverine coming out July 26

2. Wolfs (starring Brad Pitt and George CLooney) Sept. 20 release

I'm disappointed at Marvel really. I don't see any good Marvel movies coming out this year other than maybe the Deadpool one.

I saw a good one yesterday and the theaters were packed for it...Bad Boys pt. 3.

I recommend it if youre into some comedy mixed with real action.

One of my friends saw A Quiet Place pt. 3 and said it was average. Part 1 and 2 we're definitely better according to her.

Went to go see Red One, starring Dwayne Johnson (former wrestler called The Rock).

I'd give it a 7 out of 10. There was plenty of action and a good storyline. I was hesitant seeing it thinking that the storyline and action would be too much for kids, but it's probably something that's PG13. It was over 2 hours long. Had they released it closer to Christmas it probably would've made more.

Not to spoil too much but it's basically about Santa Claus being kidnapped, and Dwayne Johnson is like one of his special agents that tries to track him down. They made the Santa Claus thing to be like a government agency full of agents working at the North Pole, lol.

Without giving any of the “How” away —

Was the Winter Witch “Gryla,” played by Kiernan Shipka, enough of a villain?

I’m assuming there’s a big scene where she’s defeating. Was this merely good, or maybe great? And did the hero(es) use a combo of guile, courage, and unexpected skill in a way which was …

medium satisfying?

or maybe highly satisfying?

And did the swirl of joy of life work at the end?

Yes, I feel I know how these movies work! :)

Haha. You would probably be entertained watching the action play out, at least since the action was decent - medium good. I went in with low expectations and I was with my girlfriend, and we walked away saying it was okay. Like a lite version of a Marvel Movie since they tried to put like a realistic spin on the whole storyline involving Santa and all the make-believe surrounding it.

Kiernan Shipka played Gryla. I honestly think it was a simple role so she didn't really display any real villain qualities except for at the very end of the movie when she's defeated in a fight scene. She was more like a Disney version of a villain, not too sinister or anything.

Dwayne Johnson played his character good. He one of the heros. You're spot on in your description. Medium satisfying. There was a middle part where they ended up on some island which could've been left out and cut the time down from being a 2 hour movie, but other than that I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Put it on your list, maybe around Christmas time!

Cardinal Tremblay at bottom, played by John Lithgow.

Cardinal Adeyemi, played by Lucian Msamati.

The movie Conclave about the College of Cardinals electing a new Pope. I did not know it required a 2/3’s majority. Maybe too much of a talking and thinking film.

But definitely had its moments! :)

That was out in the movies when I went to see Red One, last week. I'll wait for it to start streaming.
